XWHY Football: David Luiz – Yellow & Green

The World Cup 2014 is the gift that just keeps on giving. Another day and another game of drama last night as Brazil fought their way past the neutrals favourite Columbia. Central to this was the loveable and talented David Luiz, who smashed home a free kick that in any other tournament might be considered for goal of the tournament.

At the end of the year when we attended a Q & A with David Luiz, where he discussed the Nike designed kit for the World Cup, Brazil and what it is to be Brazilian. Now Nike have released this video that gives us a little more of an insight into the man and the passion that fuels him.

England is often referred to as being “The home of football”, but if  the FIFA World Cup in Brazil has taught us anything, it is that football may have been born in England, but it now lives in Brazil. The performances and passion on show over the last few weeks are merely a reflection of the country and it’s people. Their approach to life and indeed football is quite simply infectious.
