The Parisian Field Guide to Men’s Style

The Parisian Field Guide to Men’s Style, is a new book by legendary French model and designer Ines de la Fressange. The long-awaited sequel to the New York Times bestseller Parisian Chic, Ines and fashion journalist Sophie Gachet have written a complete, practical and fun sartorial guide for all men.

The former face and muse of Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld, Ines’s name is synonymous with that enigmatic notion of French style. When asked to define the secrets of stylish men for her new book, Ines turned to Parisian friends in her entourage. Designers, directors, actors, artists, musicians, DJs and businessmen are photographed in their own clothes for a style demo ‘lookbook’. They show off the best Parisian styles – casually French, classic vintage, chilled-out dandy, seventies chic – and share style dilemmas, mantras and must-haves.

With her signature wry tone, Ines gives advice on colour, cut and fabrics and selecting accessories like watches, belts, bags, hats and shoes. She demystifies the basics of looking good from fashion and grooming tips to the perfect wardrobe and the fashion faux pas to avoid. She also shares the most stylish Parisian addresses for great menswear and the best barbershops, spas, salons, bars, restaurants and hotels.

The Book will be officially published 27th April but in the meantime you can pre-order it on amazon HERE.
