The NIKES on My Feet

Nike – brand in focus

Nike have been the King of Kicks ever since the first Waffle Bottoms hit the street, so in 2013 it’s no surprise to see them doing everything they can to retain the crown for another year. Below, we’ve selected some of our favourite Nike 2013, sneakers of the moment.

Nike Lunar Fly 306 QS – Challenge Red

NIKE_LUNAR_FLY_306_QS_XWHY MagazineGreat performance technology, lightweight, with a breathable body made of hyperfuse textile and a soft, responsive sole. If the red is just too bold for you, it does come in a couple of less dramatic colourways, but who’s shy of a bit of colour, f**k it, just do it…

Nike Air Pegasus 83/30 – Team Red

Nike Air Pegasus 83/30 Team Red-Sail-Atomic Red-Dark Team RedA recognisable Nike silhouette. This is the running shape we all know and love. This muted tonal red/burgundy colourway buys into this season’s colour of choice.

Available at End clothing for a meagre £75.

Nike Rosherun – Marble Obsidian

nike_rosherun_marble__obsidian.XWHY MagazineRoshe run is a popular collection – we’ve discussed them before. These lightweight low-tops are pretty simple really, but the marble effect on the phylon midsole makes them instantly covetable.

Nike Air Max 90 – Duck Infra Camo Pack

nike-air-max-90-premium-duck-infra-camo-XWHY.MagazineThese things have literally just been released and we can’t get enough. The whole “pack” contains snapbacks, two t-shirts and a hooded sweater, all in the camo design. Pretty hard to get hold of, though, as the collaboration with Atmos will only be available, at least initially, via Sports Lab, Tokyo, so you might have to turn to Ebay.

Nike Classic Cortez Nylon Prem QS – Quilted

Nike_Cortez_Quilt_XWHY magazineThe cortez dates back to the ’70s – that’s a pretty longstanding trainer design and with good reason. Favourite among Kendrick Lamar’s hip hop crew and teenage vampire royalty alike, these shoes are sticking around for good.

Right, after all of that Sneaker porn I’m off to go have a ciggy and a quick lie down whilst bumpin’ this Mac Miller Ditty about… yeah, you guessed it, Nikes.
