New Era Heritage Series…Take Two
With a history in sports that goes back over 90 years, Buffalo based New Era is in prime position to be talking heritage.
After the initial release of itʼs heritage series, featuring reworks of the original wool caps worn by teams such as the Cleveland Indians in Major League Baseball, New Era is back with a second instalment.
The 1993 Collection celebrates New Era becoming the exclusive official supplier of on-field caps for Major League Baseball for the 93/94 season that shaped and ensured the future of the brand. That same year, New Era launched the Diamond Collection, a collection of every Major League Baseball teamʼs on-field cap, so the fans could support their team by wearing a New Era 59FIFTY.
The 93/94 season was also made special by the fact it was the first year in which games were played outside of the US with the Toronto Blue Jays taking on the Chicago White Sox in the American League Championship Series.
Twenty years later, to celebrate this, they are re-releasing the full Diamond Collection, in the original team colours and 59FIFTY silhouttes, for the teams that were part of the original American league and National League that year, such as the Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays.
Each cap is made of 100% high quality wool and features the renowned New Era visor sticker, The inside also sees the official embroidered New Era and Cooperstown Collection labels stitched to the premium white sweatband, with the outside of the cap featuring both the detailed New Era and team logos using raised embroidery.
