New Era Heritage Series @ Hoxton Gallery

XWHY heads down to the launch party for New Era Heritage Series 1934 collection

The first New Era professional baseball cap was produced in 1934 for the Cleveland Indians’ home and away kits.

Paying homage to New Era’s involvement in the baseball tradition, the brand is launching their most recent offering in their Heritage Series. The 1934 collection sees a revival of some of the most iconic styles, from the Cleveland Indians to the Yankees and the Tigers.

These are some handpicked, premium headwear silhouettes, chosen for their original innovation, creativity and their representation of important moments in American baseball history.

The collection drops TODAY, February 28. To mark the release, New Era Europe hosted a banging party at Hoxton Gallery, with the inimitable Josey Rebelle on the decks, followed by crowd-pleaser Eliphino.

We headed down to the event to have a butchers at what was on offer. A few beers (and vodkas, rums, wines) later, a few too many shapes thrown, some bizarre conversations about donkey-fucking (and donkey eating)…a mind-blowing magic trick from Ryan Tricks…we’ll leave the rest to your imagination…
