Find of the Week: THFKDLF
We like discovering the relatively unknown and supporting young brands here at XWHY – and it doesn’t come much younger than 2013 born THFKDLF (fill in the vowels yourself).
Their vibe is a mixture between font and number-heavy streetwear, and the sort of print and photography based designs that are gaining momentum at the moment. Every piece is a bold statement, that’s for sure, but we think their looks are a bit more thoughtful, and quite a lot less tacky than some of the other options out there. They’re not just touting your average faded floral five-panel like every other young streetwear brand at the moment.
We guess the real appeal of THFKDLF is probably that they print and sew all of their designs themselves. As their brand increases its popularity, this business model might, of course, have to adapt, but for the time being, it adds a certain value to their designs.
Anyway, we’re fans. Judging by the comments on their BLOG, it seems that the “Black 13 Sweatshirt” and their “City Lights” tee are firm faves, but we’re actually in the market for some of their simpler “Cut&Sew” designs…
Have a look at some of their products below. And head to their WEBSITE to see more and bag yourself a THFKDLF purchase of your own.
